etherFAX leverages the Internet to manage fax-based communications and is widely used by financial services and healthcare organizations worldwide. The company is capable of processing billions of faxes each month.

Business Challenge

etherFAX provides a simple and cost-effective alternative to what is typically a very complex technology challenge for organizations that rely on faxes for business-critical operations. It eliminates the need for organizations to purchase and maintain fax servers, fax boards, media gateways, and other telephony infrastructure. To help simplify how etherFAX works, the company selected Springboard to create a series of motion graphic videos.

Additionally, Springboard works with etherFAX to implement an array of marketing activities to support the company’s most important trade show of the year: HIMSS, the largest healthcare technology conference in the U.S. As part of the annual project, Springboard coordinates media opportunities and develops a marketing plan to optimize etherFAX’s presence at this event.


As part of a discovery session for the motion graphic videos, Springboard worked with etherFAX to identify the company’s core messaging and developed a script based on key differentiators. Springboard then collaborated with Core Studies to animate the script utilizing motion graphics to illustrate how etherFAX works.

For the annual HIMSS conference, Springboard works with etherFAX on branding concepts, booth design, printed marketing materials, advertising, digital content strategy, media relations, press announcements and social media management.


Springboard delivered two 90-second motion graphic videos explaining how etherFAX and etherFAX Secure Exchange Network (SEN) work. These videos are currently integrated into sales and marketing campaigns, enabling etherFAX to succinctly articulate the company’s value proposition and differentiation to prospective customers.

The success of HIMSS has allowed Springboard to support this project for several years. In 2015, Springboard’s work with etherFAX at HIMSS was recognized at the 40th Annual JASPER Awards Ceremony organized by the Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association (JSPRAA). Springboard won a Gold JASPER Award in the category of Trade Show Planning.
